Fab Class Activities
and Resources
Be sure to see
"Fab Class Syllabus"
NOTE: Each individual in this class will keep a
Digital Portfolio.
This is software storage of your work. All
your written activities, notes, quiz, class activities etc. that require research and/or written results need to be stored in digital form;
either
CD or floppy disk. I will collect the disk at the conclusion of this semester as
it will be part (10%) of your final grade. Questions?
Why take this class?
Being able to identify proper tools for
a task as well as performing a task using the proper tools is important
for employment, self-employment and the home hobbyist. This class will expose to
you to various electronic tools, hand tools, components, system processes and
online resources. A lot of the activities will be hands-on and many of the
activities will be using the internet as a tool.
At the conclusion of this class you
will have a
final product, that you will build, a digital portfolio that identifies all your hands
on and learning activities. Both the
Project, Digital Portfolio and class activities will be used to determine your Final
test grade.
Be sure to review the Syllabus.

Students please note:
An evaluation is also a form of learning. If you miss something on
an evaluation and discover later what the correct response was then you learned
from your mistake. Unfortunately, most evaluations will not credit you with the
new learning experience. In this class we are concerned with learning.
Therefore, I will provide you an avenue to demonstrate learning obtained
from an incorrect response on an evaluation.
This avenue will require more of your personal effort, demonstration of
your subject mastery, and additional personal time. If you want to take on this
opportunity then let me know. TheTeach
